Euro London’s leading client in the innovative 3D printing sector is currently looking for a detailed-oriented and structured Technical Writer who is committed to creating and maintaining the internal manufacturing technical documentation for new product introduction in a multi-disciplinary environment working with Production, Maintenance, Operations and R&D teams.

This consists of the writing of assembly and test instructions including their control forms, the documentation management (versions, release, EOL,…) in a DMS (sharepoint) and the continuous improvement of our processes and tools. The Technical Writer reports to the EMEA Engineering Services manager. 

Responsibilities

  • Developing shop floor facing documentation (Assembly and test instructions + Checklist) that meets organizational standards
  • Obtaining a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content that meets the needs of the target audience
  • Editing and reviewing together with subject matter experts’ updates to existing documentation
  • Initiating and follow-up review and sign-off of new or updated technical documentation by all relevant departments
  • Working together with different departments on the alignment of the technical documentation content
  • Publishing new and updated technical documentation on relevant platforms + ensuring revision control
  • Suggesting and evaluating improvements for more efficient review and publication of documentation
  • Working with development and supporting leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage
  • Taking initiative to identify and evaluate new methods for more efficient execution of daily work

Profile sought

  • At least one previous industry experience as an effective technical writer or in a similar position.
  • Experience in writing documentation and procedural materials for assembly and testing of technically challenging machinery. (Mechanical, Electrical, Software,…)
  • Advanced written and verbal communication in English and fluent French, with a keen eye for detail in terms of vocabulary used and its consistency across all documentation to avoid confusion.
  • Feels comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
  • Preferably a technical background either through education or through hobbies or others.
  • Willingness to become the subject matter expert on the chosen documentation management system
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint - document libraries and power automate is a plus
  • Experience with topic based technical writing is a plus
